spontaneous compositions

most of the following improvisations have been edited to highlight certain musical points or to draw the curtain over passages that suck (yeah, that happens - not often, but still too often ;-)). the earlier recordings sound a bit rough, the latest recordings sound ok, especially taking into account that there was hardly any mastering involved apart from maybe a bit of compression and reverb here and there.

somewhat relaxed, but hymnic (maybe comparable to a Zappa-vamp-plus-guitar-solo), featuring Helli Leitensdorfer on guitar.

well, who would have thought that the normally rather hypnotic and psychedelic number "Molokko plus" could gradually transform into something like this?

this edit of one of our improvisations starts with a slightly strange sequencer pattern, but somewhere along the way it transforms into a - for us - uncommonly melodic, nearly anthemic resolution.

based on Helmuth's 7/4 drum rhythm and featuring a change of roles down the road: Peter playing space leads on bass while Udo tries to hold down the bottom end.

built on top of a slighty nervous drum beat. unusually cinematic sounds on this one, especially at the end.

although we have been experimenting more and more with integrating electronic loops into our improvisations, we still cultivate the art of playing completely free. so this is kind of an "old skool" jam and it's presented unedited to show the flow of the musical development.

an edit of an improvisation with and around a trip-hop-ish loop.
